Stuffed Mushrooms

Hot Appetizer that gets gobbled up first at any party or gathering!"
Ingredients
Whole mushrooms - 1 pound
8 oz cream cheese
season salt
1 Pkg bacon bits
1 clove garlic - minced
2 Tablespoons chopped chives
1 stick melted butter
Instructions
Clean and stem mushrooms. Sprinkle both sides with season salt and place in baking dish. Chop the stems. Allow cream cheese to soften and cream with mixer. Add in chopped stems, garlic, bacon bits, chives and 1/4 teaspoon of season salt. Mix well. Stuff mixture into mushroom caps. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake in 350 oven for 20 - 30 minutes. Serve hot. These may be prepared a day in advance and refrigerated until ready to cook.
