Who doesn’t love movies? There are plenty of people who hate sports, watching television and playing video games, but you seldom find a person who doesn’t enjoy a good movie. Watching one at home is an easy way to have a lot of fun with friends and family. Whether you’re hosting movie night for the kids, for a romantic evening or for a group of friends, we have some tips that will make sure everyone has a great time.
Choosing the right movie:
If movie night is a regular family get together, it’s a good idea to take turns choosing what to watch. Another idea is to have a theme like vampires or racing and reach a compromise based on a preselected group of films.
The set up:
Make sure there are enough pillows for everyone to lounge on. What makes movie night at home better than movie night in a theater is that everyone can be as comfortable as they’d like. Make sure the screen is positioned and you have dimmed the lights to reduce glare.
Take a survey of your guests’ favorite candy and arrange an assortment. Chips and dip, pretzels, nachos and chicken wings are also great movie snacks. Of course you can’t go wrong with popcorn! Check out our Cuisinart Original Recipes:
