Drinks aren't often the star of most wedding-related events but that could be due to the fact they aren't given as much attention when it comes to the selection process. If you're unsure about what to offer given the number of cocktails available today, keep it simple with Champagne.
Perfect for all events including intimate bridal showers, engagement parties, or the wedding reception itself, Champagne cocktails can be as light or robust as you want while still maintaining its elegant flair. We've put together a list of a few favorites that offer either simple or complex flavors without being too wild.
Classic Champagne Cocktail
An oldie but a goodie, this cocktail is served with a sugar cube soaked in bitters and dropped in a Champagne-filled flute, garnished with a twist of lemon.
Some recipes call for a 4:1 ratio while others call for equal parts Champagne and Guinness. Whichever mix you choose, don’t be surprised by how surprised you’ll be by its flavor.
Special occasions call for special cocktails. Add a dash of crème de cassis and fill the rest of your flute with Champagne to help usher in the next wonderful phase of your life.
A favorite among many, this simple little treat calls for 1 part peach puree or peach syrup and 4 parts Champagne.
There are a lot of different variations of this cocktail but we picked the one with the most flair. Add a splash of lemon juice, about 1-2 oz. of gin, and top off your glass with Champagne. When serving them, drop a sugar cube in each glass for the ultimate sparkler.
