Spring Wedding Menu
Spring Wedding Menu
March 28, 2017 • Posted by Jessica Pontoriero

The weather is getting warmer, the birds are chirping, it's time for a spring wedding! The spring season is full of vibrant colors and is just blooming with life! Feel inspired by the season and bring a touch of spring into your wedding menu!

Cocktail hour
For cocktail hour, serve fruity and citrusy drinks. Beverages can include kiwi-strawberry Bellinis, lemon martinis, and glasses of sweet limoncello. Also, bring some fun to the drinks menu with fruity margaritas and floral champagne spritzers! For more age appropriate drinks, serve fruit water and lemonade to guests.

It's not a cocktail hour without some finger foods! Try serving these fresh appetizers:
Tomato and Onion Tarts
Popcorn Shrimp
Toasted Bruschetta with Fresh Tomatoes Lemony Chicken Kebabs
Mini Quiches with Fresh Mushrooms and Basil
Mini Chicken Avocado or Grilled Strawberry and Apricot Tostadas

Dinner
Now that cocktail hour is through, it's time to sit at the dinner table for a delicious meal! You can add touches of Spring to your tables and food buffet (if you are having one) with pastel colored flowers and table cloths. Seasonal flowers that will add a pop of color to your venue are tulips, pansies, and lilies. For a more festive look, try adding edible flowers to your dishes as well! Now that we have talked about the decor, let's move on to the dinner menu...yummy! Here are some spring inspired dishes:
Orange Chicken with a Berry Walnut Arugula Salad
Rosemary Chicken and Seasoned Spring Veggies (Combination of radishes, baby onions, asparagus, and carrots)
Fresh Fish on Lime Brown Rice
Brown Sugar Glazed Ham with Herbed Potatoes

Dessert
It's time for cake, of course! Add some delicate flowers and pastel colors to your wedding cake. Touches of lace, pearls, and ribbon are also great ways to give your wedding cake a whimsical look. For the flavor, try a classic white champagne cake filled with berries and cream or a tart lemon custard. You can also have a dessert bar! For some extra Spring time flare, you can lay out brightly colored candies all over the bar for your guests to enjoy later on! Include sweet items such as:
Fruity Pineapple Tarts
Lemon Squares and Macaroons
White Chocolate Fountain (can dip strawberries, oranges, you name it!)
Fresh Berries with Sweet Whipped Cream
Pastel Colored Almond Petit Fours
Iced coffee and Floral Tea

Do you smell that? It's the smell of love and sweetness in the fresh spring air! May your wedding be filled with everlasting happiness, great company, and delicious food!
