Morning Wedding Menu Tips
May 20, 2014 • Posted by Brea Buffaloe

When most people think of weddings, they think dinner, which is the classic option but you may be different. Do you imagine saying your I-do’s at sunrise with a breakfast for brunch reception to follow? This can be just as exciting and elegant as any other wedding option. Not to mention the natural lighting is sure to result in amazing photographs.

There’s plenty of room for creativity when hosting a morning reception. It can easily hold a traditional vibe with menu options of quiche, eggs benedict, smoked salmon or caviar. However, you can also do a casual vibe with a doughnut or waffle bar. Customization is always fun. Allowing guests to have things made to order, like omelets, may be a great idea.

Fruit juices and coffee are beverage essentials at a morning wedding but when it comes to alcohol, avoid the heavy stuff. Appropriate alcoholic beverages include mimosas, bellinis and bloody marys.

Here are 5 breakfast/brunch dish ideas to get you started:

1. Eggs Benedict

2. Arugula, Pancetta, and Tomato Frittata

3. Lemon Raspberry Scones

4. White and Sweet Hash Brown Potatoes

5. Chocolate Brownie Waffles
