A brand new addition to your family is in and of itself the best kind of celebration.
But even new parents need to let their hair down once in a while.
New Year’s Eve is often a night where a sympathetic parent or in-law is willing to gift you with a night to yourselves. Or perhaps you are lucky enough to have a sitter who needs extra dough more than a night out.
If you don’t have these resources available, take heart. There are many ways to add a little something special to your New Year’s night in!
Document the occasion
Kick the New Year celebration off with a family portrait. Assemble your newly expanded clan and snap a special picture of the occasion you can smile at and reflect on each year.
Whip up easy treats
New Year’s is a holiday. Why slave over a hot stove when you can ring in the party by whipping up some easy munchies with your Cuisinart Food Processor or Cuisinart Griddler?
Check out these easy recipes!
Crack open the bubbly
Erratic sleep schedules will have many new parents down for the count long before midnight hits. But early nights in are still worth celebrating. Once baby nods off for the night, or even the time being, crack open the bubbly, curl up on the couch and make the most of a cozy evening in with your significant other. Who says you have to hit the town to have a good time?
Party in the morning
Instead of holding a social gathering on New Year’s Eve, celebrate New Year’s Day with friends. Fire up the griddle and invite your buddies over for pancakes and mimosas, or head out to a local restaurant for a celebratory New Year brunch. It’s a great way to catch up with your favorite people and extend the sense of celebration this day off affords.
