Cuisinart Press Releases
Stand Mixer
Stamford, CT - December 2008
CUISINART IS BRINGING TO THE TABLE. . .
The Company’s First Stand Mixer
What to Look for When Purchasing a Stand Mixer:
Cuisinart’s
7-quart and 5.5-quart stand mixers are the largest capacity stand mixers on the
market. The bowl allows home chefs to double and even triple recipes; you can
produce three loaves of bread or eight dozen cookies.
The
Cuisinart 7 Quart Stand Mixer packs 1,000 watts of power – no other stand mixer
available even comes close. The 5.5-quart mixer delivers 800 watts of power,
still more than the most powerful model currently on the market. This gives
these stand mixers the ability to knead dough for a crusty baguette or to whip
egg whites into glossy peaks for a classic Pavlova. In addition, they have 12
speeds for precision mixing and a slow start and gentle fold function for added
control. The fold function, an industry first, operates in both a “continuous
fold” and “pulse fold” mode.
A
host of special features adds to the convenience of Cuisinart’s new stand
mixers. They feature a tilt-back head for easy bowl access and ease-of-use when
attaching accessories. For increased safety, the head-lift release lever
securely locks the stand mixer head into the raised position. Other benefits
include a 15-minute countdown timer that automatically turns off the stand
mixer after the selected time has elapsed. A single audible tone also signals
shutoff. Another user-friendly feature is a “pause mode” function for the
timer, which allows consumers to interrupt the countdown and stop the mixing
process if necessary. Simply press the on/off button to pause, and then press
it again to resume the mixing process and the timer continues counting
down.
Each
Cuisinart stand mixer comes with three culinary tools to perform a multitude of
tasks:
- The Chef’s Whisk is most frequently
used for whipping eggs, egg whites or heavy cream, for recipes like angel
food cake, meringue, dacquoise or divinity.
- The Flat Mixing Paddle is designed for
stirring, mixing and beating ingredients. It is most frequently used for
mixing cookie dough, cake batter and frostings, as well as for making pie
crusts, biscuits and shortcakes.
- The Dough Hook is used for the mixing
and kneading stage of yeast doughs like bread, rolls, focaccia and pizza
dough. A splashguard also comes with the product and when used, prevents
spattering when mixing and adding ingredients. It has a convenient pour
spout that is especially handy when adding ingredients while mixing.
Another
feature that distinguishes the Cuisinart Stand Mixer is the fact that it has
three power outlets - High, Medium and Slow - for a variety of attachments that
take the meaning of “multi-tasking” to a whole new level.
Both
stand mixers are available in white and brushed chrome and integrate well with
either contemporary or traditional kitchen décor. The products will also be
available in black in June.
