Chef’s Classic™ Hard Anodized Specialty Items
Stamford, CT Food for Thought:
According to the Cookware Manufacturers Association (CMA), home chefs tend to focus more on the ingredients they are cooking than on the type of pan to use. Yet for the best results, consumers should actually be focusing on using both the right ingredients and the right cooking equipment.
“When it comes to cookware, form really does follow function,” says Mary Rodgers, Director of Marketing Communications for Cuisinart. “For example, soups and stews require tall pots so that the heat can circulate while keeping ingredients submerged and evaporation to a minimum. For dishes that require quick cooking like sautéing, a skillet or sauté pan is better suited because the vessel’s shallow sides and extensive surface area allow more of the food’s surface to be exposed to the heat.” Rodgers adds that Cuisinart’s decision to roll out a collection of specialty cookware addresses the significance of specialized pieces in order to optimize performance in the kitchen.
What to Look for When Purchasing Cookware:
Cuisinart’s Chef’s Classic™ Non-Stick Hard Anodized Specialty Collection combines the advantages of hard anodized cookware with the convenience of non-stick. The cookware features triple layer construction with a hard anodized exterior, aluminum core and a titanium reinforced non-stick interior. The hard anodized surface is dense, nonporous, and highly wear resistant while the aluminum core delivers quick and even heat distribution and eliminates hot spots. The cooking surface is 100% aluminum free and constructed of non-stick Quantanium® reinforced with titanium.
Each item in the new collection is tailored to meet specific needs, from a hearty breakfast of pancakes and eggs to freshly grilled fish or Asian stir-fry. The collection includes: an 11-inch Square Griddle; 12-inch Round Grill Pan; 13-inch X 20-inch Double Burner Griddle; and
12-½ inch Stir-Fry with Cover and Helper Handle. Also included is a seven-piece Egg Poacher Set, which consists of a 2-qt. sauté pan with cover and four non-stick poaching inserts.

Consumers are attracted to non-stick cookware because of its healthful benefits, food release features and easy cleanup. Unlike its predecessors, the non-stick surface of Cuisinart’s Hard Anodized collection can withstand high temperatures. It is oven safe for up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, consumers can safely use metal utensils without damaging the cooking surface. Other product benefits include Cool Grip™ handles that are constructed of riveted stainless steel for increased strength and durability, and tempered glass lids that retain natural juices while allowing cooks to monitor the process.
