SmartPower Classic™ Blender

SmartPower Classic™ Blender

May 2005 Food for Thought:
According to Riedel Marketing Group's Home Trend Forecast, Third Quarter 2004 Report, consumers are often pressed for time and as a result, are looking for ways to reduce the amount of food preparation required at home. The report also indicates that consumers are interested in preparing healthier meals with a greater focus on fresh ingredients and less on prepared foods.

What Do Consumers Look for in a High Performance Blender?
Versatility:
The Cuisinart SmartPower Classic™ Blender provides consumers with the flexibility needed to incorporate fresh ingredients into their meals by reducing the time required for basic culinary tasks. The blender features six preset speeds for the most widely used blending functions. These functions include: Mix, Chop, Liquefy, Pur饬 Stir, and Ice Crush, and are conveniently displayed on a single rotary dial. The preset options guarantee just the right amount of power for the task at hand, from pur饩ng a delicate vichyssoise to crushing ice for a frozen margarita. Cuisinart's new blender also includes an Instant Pulse feature that ensures delicate ingredients are not over-processed.

Power:
The SmartPower Classic™ Blender delivers 500 watts of power, which gives home chefs a variety of recipe options to choose from. The power is especially evident in the blender's Ice Crush feature; it crushes ice quickly and uniformly, even without adding liquid.

Capacity:
Cuisinart's new blender is available with two blender jar options. Both blender jars have a 2-ounce measured pour lid. The SPB-6BKSS model comes with a generous 50-ounce stainless steel jar that aids in retaining cold, an important factor for keeping beverages cooler, longer. The SPB-6 model comes with a 48-ounce glass blender jar with a dripless pour spout. The glass carafe is both heat resistant and scratch and stain resistant, and has an easy push-on cover.

Convenience:
Both blender jars are generously sized for easy entertaining. The blender's other push-button controls include "High," "Low," and "Pulse" options with LED indicators for at-a-glance viewing. In addition, the blender jar and blades are dishwasher safe for effortless cleanup.

"The Cuisinart SmartPower Classic™ Blender combines the benefits of simple operation with powerful performance in a single model countertop blender," says Mary Rodgers, Director of Marketing Communications for Cuisinart. "As a result, the blender meets the growing consumer demand for both convenience and commercial quality in a kitchen appliance."

Other benefits:
The SPB-6BKSS is available in black and the SPB-6 is available in white, black and red. Both models come with a recipe book that includes a variety of Cuisinart's kitchen-tested favorites.
