Cuisinart® Updates Its Convection Toaster Oven Broiler with New Brushed Stainless Model
STAMFORD, CT - January 2002 Cuisinart, a leading producer of culinary appliances and professional quality cookware, has expanded its convection toaster oven category with a new brushed stainless model, no. TOB-175BC. The toaster oven reflects the latest design trends in the industry while continuing to bring a new standard of convenience and accuracy to baking, broiling and toasting.
Mary Rodgers, Director of Marketing Communications for Cuisinart and Waring, says, "The new brushed stainless model allows consumers to expand their collection of coordinated appliances for a comprehensive design statement." She explains that the Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven Broiler is the only appliance on the market with an Exact Heat™ feature that consistently monitors and maintains temperature. "Our research shows that consumers are searching for appliances that will help them achieve precise, professional cooking results at home, but that also have a wide range of convenience features," says Rodgers.
The Convection Toaster Oven Broiler offers consumers four different cooking methods to choose from--convection baking, conventional baking, broiling, or toasting. Convection baking, a highly regarded technique used for years in large commercial ovens, relies on a fan to gently circulate heat around the food. This process provides exceptionally uniform temperatures. Since the surface of the food is surrounded by evenly heated airflow, convection ovens can cook foods up to 30% faster than conventional ovens.
Cuisinart's Brushed Stainless Convection Toaster Oven Broiler is not only convenient, it is extremely powerful. The product has 1500 watts of power and reaches a maximum temperature of 500 degrees. It can bake everything from a whole 5-lb. chicken and 1-lb. loaf of bread to a 9-inch pie, or it can toast four extra large pieces of bread, muffins or bagels.
Other product benefits include Always Even™ Shade Control, which electronically monitors and adjusts the oven's internal temperature to deliver even heat for uniform browning. As a result, the appliance provides consistent oven and toasting results from one use to the next.
The Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven Broiler has virtually unlimited toasting capabilities. Consumers can truly customize their toasting preferences. The Touchpad Shade Control provides the option of programming an individual's toasting preferences. Whether it's lighter or darker toast, the consumer simply selects the appropriate setting. The Convection Toaster Oven Broiler "remembers" the last setting for toasting until the consumer chooses to reprogram it (or a power interruption occurs).
Other customized toasting features include a Bagel Button, Defrost Button, and a 4-Slice Toasting Button that adjusts toasting time when you're toasting three or four slices. The Combination Setting allows consumers to select a combination of features to suit their preferences, and a Reheat Button reheats without browning. A slide-out crumb tray and cord wrap are also included.
The appliance features a multifunctional LCD display with clock, timer, oven ready indicator, temperature indicator and toast color selection. In addition, the Convection Toaster Oven Broiler automatically shuts off after four hours of continuous use, comes with a two-position oven rack with a safety stop feature, and has a nonstick, easy-to-clean interior. A baking and broiling pan are also included.
The Cuisinart Brushed Stainless Convection Toaster Oven Broiler is backed by a three-year limited warranty. It is also available in chrome and white.
