CUISINART RECEIVES 2012 MARCOM AND LACP SPOTLIGHT AWARDS FOR CUISINART.COM FOR IPAD
Stamford, CT − Cuisinart, an innovative leader in the housewares and kitchen electrics industries, has earned a Platinum 2012 MarCom Award and a Silver 2012 LACP Spotlight Award for its newly optimized website, cuisinart.com for iPad. The Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP), which sponsors the MarCom Awards, bestowed upon Cuisinart its highest honor, the Platinum Award, in the Specialty Web/Mobile Website category. The League of American Communications Professionals LLC (LACP) recognized the company with a Silver Spotlight Award in the Digital/iPad App category.
Cuisinart’s winning entry consisted of a thoroughly updated and optimized website designed specifically for use on Apple’s iPad. The company’s digital development marketing firm, bps digital media solutions, executed and implemented all aspects of the site, which provides consumers with Cuisinart’s complete product offerings, product demonstration videos, recipes and user manuals.
Additionally, the Cuisinart site allows consumers to search for recipes by meal and by ingredients they have on hand in the kitchen, or to compare the contents of their pantries against recipes in Cuisinart’s database and generate an ingredient list needed for the selected recipes. The new site also provides games and contests that offer consumers the chance to win high-end Cuisinart prizes.
Both the MarCom and LACP Spotlight Awards were based on similar criteria: entries were judged on creativity, message clarity, technique, design and overall impression. The MarCom Awards is a creative competition for any individual or company involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs. The LACP Spotlight Awards recognize outstanding print-, video- and web-based communications materials from public relations and communications professionals.
“Both of these awards represent significant achievements for Cuisinart, and we are honored to have been recognized by such esteemed organizations,” said Mary Rodgers, Director of Marketing Communications for Cuisinart. “Our new iPad-optimized site allows us to deliver multiple resources to our consumers to help them plan meals, cook more easily and learn about our products while using their preferred devices.”
